7 Lakes Raft Challenge Homepage

After a break of 25 years a raft race was held on Clearwater Lake at 7 Lakes Country Park Ealand just outside Crowle in 2009.

The local community turned out in their hundreds to watch the event and many asked if it was to become an annual event once again.........

Well we are very pleased to say yes it is and this website is where you will find all the information about the event whether you are a competitor or spectator.

We hope that this years event will, once again, bring together the local community and provide a wonderful day out to remember for all involved. With so much bad news around it is good to have a proper old fashioned village event involving residents from the area.

This year, as with all events held at 7 Lakes Country Park in 2010, we hope to raise money for the Help for Heroes charity. The raft race is a community spirit based event and we are sure that no one will object to monies raised being passed on to this most deserving cause providing for our injured troops who are risking life and limb on our behalf in hostile environments throughout the world.

Welcome

The 2009 event raised £435.00 for another very deserved cause the Firefighters Charity. 7 Lakes Country Park is a partner of Humberside Fire & Rescue Service providing facilities, training and sharing information on water safety. In an area with so much water, a vital collaboration.
Firefighter Jeff Owen received the cheque in October from 7 Lakes Country Park Director Jason Keedy.
We hope that the 2010 7 Lakes Raft Challenge will raise much more with your support.
